NextComputing (Nashua, NH) introduces Whisper Technology as an option on its NextDimension Pro and Pro HD, the company's smallest and lightest weight flextop computers. This quieter model specifically targets users of high-end ISV applications where meetings, demonstration and collaborative use occur in professional office settings.

Whisper technology enhances the system's applicability as a demonstration platform by reducing background noise, allowing the speaker and participants to be heard clearly without audible distraction.

This option is available on new NextDimension Pro and Pro HD systems as well as an upgrade kit for existing systems to reduce the computer's acoustical footprint. Intel-based systems enabled with this option are about 6 times quieter in low-load and idle conditions and nearly 50 percent quieter in medium-load conditions. This range provides significant noise reduction for the most common system loads.

NextComputing's family of NextDimension flextop computers enable sales and marketing professionals using demanding applications in fields like broadcast, military Intelligence, medical imaging, energy, and test and measurement to enjoy the portability of a laptop without sacrificing performance.

Whisper Technology set of components and configurations that reduces the acoustic output of the portable workstation. It is currently available in Intel processor-based NextDimension Pro and Pro HD systems.
