Creaform (Levis, Quebec, Canada), developer and manufacturer of handheld laser scanners and metrologic group (Meylan, France), a major independent 3D control software publisher, announced their joint technology partnership at the Mesurexpo 2008 Show in Paris-Nord Villepinte.

metrologic group has developed a software interface ensuring compatibility between its control software line-up (µLog XG), Metrolog XG and Metrolog V5 and Creaform's Handyscan 3D laser scanners. The interface will be offered as an option for every Handyscan 3D equipment user and will be sold exclusively by metrologic group.

Metrologic group sees the partnership as an opportunity to penetrate new market areas such as automotive and aerospace, whereas Creaform will add metrologic inspection software to its product catalogue.
