Quickparts (Atlanta, GA) released MyQuote3D Instant Quoting STL viewer for users to access and view STLfiles in 3D without the need for a CAD program.

The desktop application allows users to use Quickparts ·QuickQuote system, which the company says makes the quoting process easier byanalyzing 3D CAD data. Users will be able to load their CAD model sets fromtheir computers; select a manufacturing process, quantity, and materials; andclick on Create Quote. Then, MyQuote3D will produce and display a binding quotefor the manufacture of the user's parts.

MyQuote3D features the ability to detect thin walls, badedges, and flipped triangles; view and quote both individual parts andassemblies; and add text annotations to a file. Currently in Beta testing, MyQuote3D is available for alimited time.
