Rasterex Software (Oslo, Norway) announced the new release of its software for raster editing and raster to vector conversion for Windows, RxSpotlight, the standalone application for Windows.

While RxAutoImage is the company’s complementary solution running directly inside AutoCAD, both RxSpotlight and RxAutoImage solutions are now up for a major update to version R9.0.

With version R9.0, Rasterex takes the RxSpotlight solution a huge step further, and introduces full CAD vector processing and intelligent image processing. RxSpotlight, which is already known for its ability to clean up drawings and convert scanned drawings into CAD, has become the ultimate workspace for hybrid operations, with image processing, raster editing, and vector processing blended into one cost-effective application, says the company.

New features in RxSpotlight R9.0 include Microsoft Windows Vista compatibility, ability to import DWG and DXF files for full AutoCAD compatibility, and is AutoCAD 2009 supported. Its workspace includes Drawing Layouts and Viewports as in AutoCAD, extended line styles and hatch type support, and much more.
