Saelig Releases ByteMaster LAD-16128U 16-channel Logic Analyzer

ByteMaster LAD-16128U is a new, PC-based 16-channel logic analyzer that includes six serial protocol decoders: I2C, UART, SPI, CAN BUS, 7-Segment LED, and 1- Wire.

It also features waveform compression technology to increase the effective memory capacity beyond the physical 4 Mbits. All 16 channels of the LAD-16128U can achieve a compression rate up to 255× depending on the data content. With 100Hz to 200MHz internal sampling frequency, the USB-powered LAD-16128U uses USB 2.0's full 480Mbps speed, but is also backward-compatible to USB 1.1's 12Mbps connection. It comes with features that enable debugging of embedded designs, with an effective storage capacity of 255 Mbits per channel.

A "Start" button on the Logic Analyzer hardware unit allows instant capture of samples on the fly. LAD-16128U has no need for external power supplies, has the capability of capturing 5ns glitches, and captured data can be printed or written to a TXT or CSV file for processing. Analysis can be by Timing, State, Single- processor, Bus, or Real-time instruction trace.
