Altair has renewed its OEM (original equipment manufacturer) agreement with SGI. This means that SGI will continue to use PBS Professional as its workload manager and job scheduler with support from Altair.

By renewing this contract, SGI can use the software on its high-performance computing (HPC) systems more cost effectively, and manage system sizes and CPU-core counts.

“We have collaborated with Altair to enable our customers to effectively manage and scale their workloads and efficiently solve their most complex challenges. This collaboration has brought unique features to the combination of Altair’s PBS Professional and SGI’s System Management Suite,” said Gabriel Broner, vice president and general manager of High Performance Computing Business Unit, SGI. “The ratification of our agreement will allow us to continue providing unique solutions for our customers to ensure they are able to grow with their production supercomputing needs.”
