Siemens announces that MindSphere is now a part of the newly launched Siemens Xcelerator platform. Siemens Xcelerator is the new, open digital business platform featuring a curated portfolio of IoT-connected hardware and software, an ecosystem of partners and a marketplace.
As a part of this launch, Siemens Xcelerator will fully incorporate MindSphere—Siemens' industrial internet of things (IIot) solution—into a wide range of industry solutions and modular cloud services.
More flexibility and availability, according to Siemens. The industrial IoT capabilities of MindSphere—now available as IIoT capability packages—will be available to the full Siemens portfolio, software and hardware, while enabling customers and partners across the Siemens Xcelerator ecosystem to build industry-specific applications.
All combined IoT capabilities are called Industrial Operations X—Siemens' vision for the fusion of information technology and operations technology. A modular portfolio including Siemens' IoT and edge solutions and its low code as well as manufacturing capabilities.
