Siemens PLM Releases LMS Tea Pipe

By DE Editors

June 16, 2015

Siemens PLM Software has launched LMS Samtech Tea Pipe for NX. The package is a comprehensive solution for nonlinear simulation of hoses, cables and pipes. It is compatible for NX 9 or later and can gather results from NX Motion for simulation.

Calculations by LMS Tea Pipe account for nonlinear geometrical behavior of pipes, the vulcanization process of pre-shaped hoses, wheel rotations and translations as well as dynamics.

It also has three directions of scalability, enabling users to easily switch the hypothesis of the model between isotropic, multilayer isotropic, orthotropic and fully composite.

The benefits of the software, according to the company, include the ability to quickly conclude the best design for pipes using numerical simulation, avoid trial and error methods, reduce the design cycle length and increase product reliability.
