Siemens PLM Software Delivers Parasolid Version 21 3D Geometric Modeling Component Software

Siemens PLM Software has announced the availability of ParasolidVersion 21 software, the latest release of its PLM industry-leading 3D geometricmodeling component software. 

Parasolid v21 includes numerous modelingenhancements across a spectrum of functionality: 

• Local operations – Several enhancementshave been made to allow significantly more complex changes while performinglocal edits of geometry. For example, options have been added to automaticallyindicate desired behavior when features such as holes and bosses interact as theresult of a local editing operation.
• Enhanced surface creation –Sophisticated sheet and surface creation and manipulation capabilities have beenextended. For example, users can perform sweep operations with enhanced controlof rotation as well as with more complex configurations of guide curves. Inaddition, users can perform loft operations between profiles while twistingalong a path. 
• Application support – A new diagnosticmechanism has been added and the tools that help application developers trackthe creation, editing and deletion of entities have been further developed toprovide more support for sophisticated undo and rollbackalgorithms.
