Siemens PLM Software (Plano, TX) is shipping Femap Version 10 software to customers worldwide. Femap is a PC-based CAE modeling solution and the finite element analysis (FEA) component of the Velocity Series portfolio.

The latest release helps users create FEA models from CAD data easily and quickly through new meshing features. Accelerated CAE model development is possible because Femap V10 provides the pre- and post-processing benefits to CAE analysts including the ability to create accurate models more efficiently, to mesh shell models faster, to create larger models, and to work more closely with the solver.

Velocity Series is a family of modular, integrated solutions addressing the PLM needs of the mid-market. Consisting of a preconfigured family of digital product design, analysis and data management software offerings, Velocity Series leverages best practices to provide breakthroughs in ease-of-use and deployment.
