Sigma Labs Inc. has begun activity for 3D printed parts and is expected to start production after the installation of a new EOS M290 metal printer. The technology is to arrive at Sigma's New Mexico facility by the end of October.

Being equipped with the M290 printer will allow the company to enhance its product offerings as well as complete rapid prototyping and small lot production.

"We are pleased that we will soon have the ability to begin commercial production of 3D printed parts upon the installation of our new state-of-the-art M290 3D metal printer," said Mark Cola, president and CEO of Sigma Labs. "Our successful marketing efforts have resulted in the receipt of advance requests for quotes for 3D printed parts.  This demand recognizes our unique value proposition which brings together the latest in 3D metal printing machinery with our PrintRite3D technology for high-end, precision metal parts."
