Stratasys announces via LinkedIn its acquisition of the assets of Forward AM GmbH in Germany. Forward AM has operated as a global independent solutions and materials portfolio for AM materials, services and software.

This transaction, according to Stratasys, will expand the Selective Absorption Fusion (SAF) and Digital Light Processing (DLP) materials offerings for a broad manufacturing audience.

Forward AM reports that its materials, and commitment to innovation will remain. Forward AM continues as an independent materials brand, open to all platforms and partners. 

What’s Changing?

While Forward AM will operate under the Forward AM brand, the company announced it will formally constitute a new standalone company within Stratasys, Mass Additive Manufacturing GmbH.
