With 3DViewStation, KISTERS advances CAD data visualization and analysis. The newly developed structure compare feature offers a detailed tabular list tailored to the specific criteria of the user. This solution enhances multiple processes such as quoting new business and product engineering analysis within the production chain.

Previously, CAD model comparisons in 3DViewStation relied mostly on visual geometry highlighting. Kisters says the new structure compare takes it a step further. "Now users can additionally access a tabular overview that lists in detail where parts were added or removed as well as changes in volume, surface area, or color. This structured approach offers a clearer and more tangible representation of all relevant changes. You can also include quantification, allowing for even more efficient review," says Craig Impastato, U.S. sales director.

Another key feature is the filtering option. Users can now select specific criteria to customize the results list according to their needs, focusing only on changes relevant to them. This makes the change analysis process more precise, faster, and more organized, according to Kisters. Available filters include: structure, geometry, physical properties, attributes, transformation, appearance, visibility, text, and file path, including subcategories for more customization.

KISTERS plans to continue expanding 3DViewStation's capabilities. An anticipated future development is the implementation of a "heatmap compare" feature. This will enable ability to detect the smallest geometric changes through intelligent visualization.

KISTERS 3DViewStation is enhanced in response to customer needs. It is available as a Desktop, HTML5 WebViewer and VR Edition product versions plus the online collaboration tool VisShare. All products can be integrated into product lifecycle management, enterprise resource planning or other leading management systems as well as service and spare part applications. KISTERS 3DViewStation provides all necessary application programming interfaces for your development team. For cloud, portal and web solutions, there is a HTML5-based WebViewer solution available, which does not require client installation. All file formats can be used in combination with the intelligent navigation and hyperlinking features.
