Tektronix, Inc. has announced the MSO70000 Series of Mixed Signal Oscilloscopes (MSOs). The instruments have up to 20 channels of measurement capture (four analog and 16 digital) with analog bandwidth ranging from 4 to 20 GHz and 80 ps digital channel timing resolution.

The MSO70000 Series combines the signal visibility and timing features of a high-performance logic analyzer with the analog precision, probing, and usability of a high performance real-time oscilloscope. This makes suited to debugging and verification applications such as DDR memory, high-performance ASICs, FPGAs, system-on-a-chip devices, and digital RF. In addition, the MSO70000 delivers a variety of probing accessories for making both analog and digital connections to the device under test with minimal disruption.

Available to order now, the MSO70000 starts at $67,400.

In related news, Tektronix will host the DesignInsight seminar in Santa Clara, CA, on October 27. Attendees can meet with industry experts to learn tips and tricks for tackling digital design challenges. The format of each seminar will be a mix of presentations and live demonstrations providing insight into test issues and methodologies. Attendees will be able to get hands-on experience with the equipment and test techniques during break sessions.

Session topics include:

  • DDR2 and DDR3 proper verification approaches
  • Mixed Signal Debugging Workshop—discover new debugging approaches on Altera’s latest FPGA using a new instrument from Tektronix.
  • Compliance and validation of SuperSpeed USB and PCIe Gen 3
  • Compliance and validation of storage technologies (SAS2, SATA 6 Gb/s)

To register or to see the day’s schedule including abstracts on all seminar sessions, visit www.tektronix.com/di.
