Trace Software Becomes SolidWorks Solution Partner and Releases elecworks

SolidWorks Corporation has named Trace Software as one of its selected Solution Partners on the basis of elecworks, Trace Software’s new electrical CAD software, and its integration to SolidWorks for electrical and automation 3D design projects.

Elecworks is designed to cover the electrical and automation needs of SolidWorks engineering offices, increase collaboration between electrical and mechanical teams, and allow them to create automation and electrical installation projects faster.

elecworks allows users to work on all areas of a digital installation in real time, based on a SQL Server database driven kernel with multiple views. It ensures bidirectional links and data update between equipment in the 3D SolidWorks mock-up and the corresponding symbol in the relevant diagram.

elecworks will be sold through the SolidWorks Dealer network. The first version is designed to run in English, French, Spanish, Chinese, and Portuguese. German, Italian, Japanese, and Russian will follow.
