Zeus Numerix Pvt Ltd. (Mumbai, India) launched its basic CFD training software, ZNTutor-CFD 2.0. Its predecessor was made with the sole purpose of making the process of learning fluid dynamics a more interactive and engaging exercise, so that it is now tailor made for a student’s needs.

“We wanted to address this problem for designing a software for students and beginners,” said Gopal R. Shevare, co-founder of Zeus Numerix. “When we first came out with the Tutor software, CFD was mostly available in the premiere institutes but with the increase in its popularity,  many more institutes have started offering CFD as a course. We wanted to help the CFD community in its process of initiation

ZNTutor-CFD 2.0. includes a Wizard mode, so “the student can follow the predefined steps and set various values to simulate a predefined flow problem and visualize the results in just six steps. It also has an Interactive mode for the students to try and solve their own CFD problems. It will help them grasp the complexity of problems and also experiment with them to clear the principles of fluid dynamics,” added Shevare.

ZNTutor-CFD 2.0 offers support for 1D problems, structured datasets, enhanced visualization, control of mesh granularity, and advanced solver controls. The GUI has been revamped to make it more intuitive for the users.
