CyberResearch, Inc. (Branford, CT) offers new DAQ boards for the x1 PCIe slots on the latest motherboards and backplanes. CyberResearch PCEDAQ analog-input boards offer 16 or 64 channels with 12- or 16-bit resolution at speeds to 3MSps. PCEAO analog-output boards offer four 12-bit channels at speeds to 1MSps.

New A/D PCEDAQ boards mate perfectly with x1 PCIe (PCI-Express) slots for high-speed high-resolution data acquisition (DA). Duplex throughput on x1PCIe slots is 500 MB/s so bus speed does not constrain board performance. PCEDAQ boards have all of the features that simplify data collection, including: A complete set of digital, analog, and software trigger options; two 16-bit up/down counter/ timers; three programmable 8-bit DIO banks; and two 12-bit analog outputs with conversion speeds to 1MSps.

Analog-output PCEAO boards also use the PCIe bus, so performance is not degraded by the number of channels you use. They can simultaneously update four 12-bit output channels at a sustained rate of 1 MS/s. They also include: 8 A/D feedback lines with 14-bit resolution at 400Ksps; 8Ksample D/A FIFO with 2Ksample A/D FIFO; and bus-mastering data transfers for both D/A and A/D.

The PCIe DAQ boards — which range from $795 to $1995 — serve automotive and aerospace manufacturing, and applications include assembly, maintenance, production, design, data collection, and production.
