ALGOR, Inc. (Pittsburgh, PA) announced that Autodesk has named ALGOR finite element analysis (FEA) software as a 32- and 64-bit certified Application for Autodesk Inventor 2009 software. The designation identifies those products that provide the highest level of interoperability with Autodesk Inventor, which is the foundation of the Autodesk solution for digital prototyping.

ALGOR’s single-user interface, FEMPRO, provides direct CAD/CAE data exchange and full associativity with most 3D modeling software including Autodesk Inventor. This allows engineers to simply choose the analysis tools they need, giving them access to ALGOR's wide range of simulation capabilities including: static stress with linear and nonlinear material models; Mechanical Event Simulation (MES) for nonlinear, multi-body dynamics with large-scale motion, large deformation, and large strain with body-to-body contact; linear dynamics; fatigue; CFD including steady-state and transient heat transfer, steady and unsteady fluid flow and mass transfer; electrostatics; full multiphysics; and piping.
