Altair Concludes European Technology Conference in Germany

p>Altair hosted its seventh annual European Altair Technology Conference this year from June 24-26 in Munich. According to the company, it attracted about 600 engineers, managers and simulation experts. The conference included technical workshops, product training sessions and "The Next Big Idea" panel discussion. During the panel, participants talked about how simulation technology and new manufacturing methods are shaping product development.

The event included a variety of topics such as lightweight design, multiphysics simulation, additive manufacturing, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) as well as crash and impact simulation.

Jim Scapa, chairman and CEO of Altair, presented an update on the company's growth and its dedication to customers. One of the keynotes was Jeff Brennan of Altair, who discussed "20 Years of OptiStruct." His talk profiled the evolution of Altair's structural analysis and optimization platform.

Other keynote sessions included presentations from Scania, GKN Aerospace, Valeo, Voith Hydro, HP, Intel and MAN.
