Altair Diversifies HyperWorks Platform with Third-Party Apps

Altair (Troy, MI) announced the addition ofindustrial design/styling software solidThinking (Troy, MI) to its HyperWorksEnabled Community (HWEC), bringing to 44 the total applications availableunder the HyperWorks platform, including 16 third-party software applications.

HyperWorkscustomers can now download solidThinking 7.6, the latest version of thesoftware launched recently for Windows and Mac users worldwide, along with allother available applications, at zero incremental cost using their existingHyperWorks software license system.

Altair'saddition of third-party applications such as solidThinking provides customerswith more software options to diversify and increase their return on investmentin HWEC, and provides third parties with the opportunity to gain added exposureand marketshare.

Thedominant tool of choice for Italian design firms and industrial designers,solidThinking is flexible, what-if design software that offers fast, integratedrendering engines to produce high-quality photorealistic virtual models; itsconstruction tree history lets designers change their minds at any point duringthe process.

HyperWorksis a suite of enterprise analytic applications that includes statistical,database, visualization and simulation software to help companies make betterbusiness decisions. Its patented on-demand computing licensing technologyallows users to transparently share software licenses globally across a broadsuite of applications. With the HyperWorks Enabled Community, Altair isextending the HyperWorks Platform from 28 internally developed solutions tomore than 40 with the addition of new third-party ISV applications likesolidThinking. Customers can operate all applications under their existingHyperWorks software licenses, increasing flexibility and the value of theirinvestment.

In additionto solidThinking, popular third-party enterprise analytics applications alreadyavailable for download in the HWEC include DesignLife from nCode, FEKO from EMSS, FEMFAT from Magna, SC/Tetra fromSoftware Cradle, HiQube, and more.
