America Makes, with Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and GE Research (GE), announce a three-month extension of the submission deadline for the Open Source-Additive Scanning Implementation Strategy (OASIS) Challenge, worth $68K in total funding. Submissions are now due on March 1, 2021.
“The decision to grant a three-month extension was an easy one given the unique dynamics of the year,” says America Makes Executive Director John Wilczynski. “The focus area of this challenge is of great interest and importance to AFRL and the industry at large. With the additional time, we look forward to receiving submissions with even more innovative and synthesized approaches.”
The OASIS Challenge seeks the submission of open-source computer codes and algorithms to help advance laser-based powder bed additive manufacturing (AM).
More information, details, and participant guidelines for the OASIS Challenge can be found here.
