America Makes is hosting its 12th Annual Members Meeting & Exchange (MMX), August 6-7, at Waypoint 4180 in Canfield, OH. 

 

MMX is a gathering focused on collaboration and innovation. The event is designed for professionals in government and military, academia, and the additive manufacturing (AM) industry to network, plan, and exchange ideas. Each year, the event assists the industry in refining its focus on core tenets of advancing the technology, growing the workforce, and expanding the AM ecosystem.

The two-day event will deliver an agenda filled with discussions on the priority needs and initiatives to ensure the U.S. remains a global manufacturing leader. Featured keynote speakers include Aisha Haynes, Ph.D., principal director for Advanced Materials, Office of the Under Secretary of Defense; David Beck, principal, Space Industrial Base at U.S. Space Force; Terry Wohlers, head of Advisory Services and Market Intelligence at Wohlers Associates, Powered by ASTM International; and Mark D. Benedict, Ph.D., senior scientist, Convergent Manufacturing, Air Force Research Laboratory. Additional keynote speakers will be announced soon. 

The event will offer panel discussions with industry experts who will focus on insights and growth opportunities in the AM technology, workforce development, and ecosystem pillars. As in past years, America Makes will also announce new recipients of the Distinguished Collaborator and Ambassador awards.  

The Northeast Ohio Chapter of Women in 3D Printing will host a 9-hole golf scramble at the Kensington Golf Club on August 5. Afterward, golfers can join the MMX No-Host Gathering at the Kensington Golf Simulator. Register to join the scramble HERE.
