Dassault Systemes Acquires SIMPACK

By DE Editors

July 11, 2014

Dassault Systemes has acquired SIMPACK, a simulation company based in Munich that specializes in multiphysics technology solutions.

This allows Dassault to expand its multiphysics simulation technology and include multi-body mechatronic systems, from virtual concept validation to real-time experience.

“SIMPACK is gaining market share today and it will be strengthened by its technological, commercial and operational synergies with Dassault Systèmes. SIMPACK has always provided product designers and consumers with a physical experience of a new product long before it comes into production. We have similar technology-driven cultures and a shared long-term commitment to scientific excellence,” said Alex Eichberger, founder and CEO, SIMPACK. “We will join forces and technologies to provide superior virtual and physical experiences, expanding industry solution experiences for transportation & mobility, aerospace & defense, and other industries.”
