Autodesk Vault 2022 is packed with new customer-driven features and enhancements. Inventor user will discover that Vault is more modern, connected and insightful. Vault 2022 delivers greater automation for faster workflows and the ability to work with your design data anywhere, anytime using a mobile app or web browser, according to Autodesk.

Read on to learn some new features in Vault 2022. Also, Autodesk invites those interested to sign up for the April 28th ‘What’s New in Vault 2022’ webinar. This webinar will include Vault demonstrations and get user questions answered by Vault experts.

Collaboration

Vault data management software is known for its ability to improve collaboration. Now, Vault 2022 makes collaboration even easier. To prioritize high value functionality, the Vault product team based the development of new features and enhancements on user roles. Each role is getting more efficient with the right set of capabilities and the best technology for those capabilities. Here’s a summary of what to expect:

For authors, those of you who use Inventor and other CAD design tools, Vault 2022 unlocks more design data by delivering a better-integrated data experience and BOM variants management. This keeps users better connected to your design data while working inside CAD.

Optimize deployments and better manage teams. For administrators, to help you make sure that the whole experience for authors and others is working smoothly, we’ve modernized your overall administration experience. This includes authentication options, replication and enhanced user and group management. Now users can optimize deployments and manage your teams more efficiently.

Access and work with engineering data anywhere. For participants who are non-CAD users, ensure you can access and work with engineering data in the office or on the go. Whether with the Vault mobile app, or the new browser experience, you can stay connected to real-time data. Take design data with you onto the shop floor, on-site or out to meet your customer.

Quick Overview

Vault 2022 highlights

The new Model States feature enables users to create multiple representations of a part or assembly within a single document in Inventor. This new workflow provides a convenient way to engineer, manage and manufacture your designs.

Vault supports Inventor Model States to ensure the workflow is productive. While working in Inventor, open files with different model states from Vault. Then edit or place the model in an assembly. Also, each model state is recorded in the Vault item master for more efficient BOM variant management with the appropriate part number and metadata.

Save Time With New Filters

Filter duplicate search results in the Find Duplicates panel within Inventor. New filters are added to expand the Duplicate Search criteria. After performing a search, filter results based on various criteria such as: same material, mirrored parts and exact matches.

Reduce Costs

Administrators can more easily manage users, groups and profile attributes for greater productivity. Vault provides better integration with active directory and flexible authentication options for internal and external users to reduce system management costs.

Simplify Database Maintenance

Vault 2022 replaces the merge replication technology with transactional replication SQL technology where the data synchronizes almost instantly. This enhancement simplifies your database replication maintenance environment and lowers your total cost of ownership.

Access and View Data

The Vault Thin Client has been revamped for the Vault 2022 release. With an entirely redesigned and modern interface, the Vault 2022 Thin Client offers many new and improved features. It allows you to access and view design data, bill of materials, change orders, and more using only your web browser and Vault credentials.
