Any conference of this size is made up of multiple, smaller themes and events. Rapid Ready already covered the International Wohlers Conference, run, not coincidentally, by Wohlers Associates. That is only the tip of the iceberg for what is to be available for this year’s EuroMold.
Other AM-related themes include a design and engineering forum, being called the “House of Creation.” This forum will discuss materials, simulation, and rapid prototyping and manufacturing. The subject of materials has its own forum, dedicated to disseminating information about development, characteristics, and targeted usage. The newest theme is jewelry, the manufacturing of which has evolved with the introduction of AM to production processes.
Manufacturers big and small will be part of EuroMold’s exhibitor area. 3D Systems will attend the conference, showcasing, “… a series of interactive, hands on exhibits that include its latest ProJet personal and professional 3D printing systems, its production 3D printers, its leading Alibre and Rapidform CAD, reverse engineering and inspection tools.”
Stratasys will be in attendance as well, showing its new black ULTEM 9085 thermoplastic. Delcam has announced it will be demonstrating the 2013 versions of Power Solution range of CAD tools. Other familiar names to be found at EuroMold include Renishaw, Materialise, Mcor Technologies, Geomagic, and SolidWorks.
If you haven’t already made plans to attend the conference, time is running out. EuroMold 2012 will run from November 27 through November 30.
Below you’ll find a video that covers some of the AM excitement from last year’s EuroMold.
