IMSI/Design announced the release of TurboCAD Mac Pro and TurboCAD Mac Deluxe v7. "This is our most significant TurboCAD Mac upgrade in a number of years," said Bob Mayer, COO of IMSI/Design.

TurboCAD Mac v7's new and enhanced features include new drafting and detailing tools, a new multi-step drawing wizard, DWG paper space and viewports, new Conic Tools to obtain a curve generated by the intersection of a cone with a plane, new mark-up and redlining tools, new polygon tools, and a new trim region tool.

3D modeling enhancements include an improved ACIS Engine updated to R22; a new Part Tree (Pro only) that is fully editable, hierarchal for selective undo/redo of solids and surfaces; a new 3D Push/Pull tool (Pro only) that creates 3D objects from 2D lines or curves by simply dragging to extrude an enclosed shape; a new Move Face tool (Pro only) that will translate one or more faces by a vector amount, while neighboring faces are extended or re-limited to account for the new position.

The solution also includes more than 25,000 new 2D/3D symbols and parts for AEC, Mechanical, Electrical, Process Plant and Piping, along with nearly 2,000 new materials (Pro only) added to the material library.
