Synopsys has released Simpleware X-2025.06, which enhances automation and design efficiency with support for nnU-Net and MONAI bundles, the company reports. Import CAD/STL files to validate designs against anatomy, benefit from improved AI Auto Segmentation tools, and experience a streamlined Dataset Browser. This update expands compatibility with third-party AI tools. Enhance productivity with improvements to the off-the-shelf AI-enabled Auto Segmentation tools.

Enhanced Hip Revision CT Auto Segmentation

  • One-click segmentation now includes cancellous bone segmentation for the femur bones.
  • Model cortical bone and/or the canal for implant fitting or simulation workflows.

Folders Within the Dataset Browser

  • Create folders of objects (masks, surfaces and volume meshes).
  • Keep project files tidy and organized by collecting objects into relevant groups or collections.

Surface Design Library

  • Fully customizable library infrastructure to create a database of quickly accessible CAD/STL models.
  • Swap out different sizes of components to assess compatibility with the anatomy.

Additional New Features

  • General: Create, edit and manage custom coordinate systems for measurements and surface objects
  • General: More example GUI Profiles added for immediate use or for inspiration
  • X-Ray: Further usability enhancements for interactive positioning and visual feedback
  • Export: New NIfTI export and scripting API support to enable more AI workflows
  • FE/CFD Meshing: New CFD LS-Dyna .key format that includes Node Sets and Element Sets
  • FE/CFD Meshing: Define element/node/triangle sets within an FE part volume
