Progman Oy released a new version of the MEP design software MagiCAD for AutoCAD and Revit. The new release 2013.4 improves and optimizes MagiCAD's design and drafting automation, enabling a faster and more flexible design workflow, the company said.

The new MagiCAD for Revit introduces support for Revit MEP 2014 and DWG file import from AutoCAD 2014. Some of MagiCAD for Revit's other highlights include adding descriptions and standardized codes to objects and drawings, more accurate dimensioning of duct fittings and other ventilation products based on Revit 2014 LookUpTables, and the possibility to perform thorough calculations also on user-defined ducts and pipes.

The new MagiCAD for AutoCAD offers support for AutoCAD 2014 and includes short-circuit calculation, automated export of projects to IFC format, floating dialogs that allow comprehensive adjustments to settings also while drawing, and many other improvements to drawing and modeling capabilities.
